It’s now been two and a half weeks since FabricMasks.ca opened its virtual doors, and we’d like to share an update on some of the most frequently asked questions we’ve received by email.
Upon speaking with a Canada Post agent, here are the latest shipping time estimates:
2 days → Now 2 weeks
3 days → Now 3 weeks
4 days → Now 3-4 weeks
We will be changing our shipping method to one that is faster and offers tracking. This will increase shipping costs slightly.
Many of you have asked that we look into offering curbside pickup. We’re currently evaluating potential solutions, and hope to begin offering this service in the coming weeks. Please keep in mind we are a two-person operation, and our priority is to make sure we can keep up with demand.
The curbside pickup option would be available in Ottawa only.
Stock alert emails
Many of you have mentioned the timing of the new stock emails meant you weren’t able to get on in time before everything sold out. Going forward, the new stock alert emails will be sent the night before masks go up for sale on the website.
Many of you have mentioned the website was bogged down during periods of high traffic and this made it difficult to purchase the masks you wanted. We’ve taken measures to help offset this issue in the future.
Scheduled stock releases
In order to help you anticipate new stock arrival, we’re looking into adopting the following bi-weekly schedule:
Friday evening: new stock alert email sent out.
Saturday morning: new masks go on sale on the website.
Thank you again for all of your interest in our products, and we are humbled by your messages of support. At any given point there are hundreds of people waiting for our products, and we are working very hard to make sure each and every one of you gets a mask.
